Message from the Director

Center for Physics of Life focuses on the fundamental questions about the physics of living systems. This exciting field is in its golden age, with rapid advances and major impacts. Our group members do research in two broad areas. One group looks at the physics of single cells, from DNA to virus. The other groups study the physics of collection of cells and their emergent phenomena, especially Neurophysics. Our research has diverse practical applications, from treating viral diseases to curing cognitive disorders and developing human like Artificial Intelligence.
